1. Wire Guided Excision

When the breast lump is deep in the breast tissue, to locate the lump with precision a wire is passed to mark this area before the surgery. During the surgery a wide excision of the entire area near the tip of wire is done. This specimen is then sent for histopathology to confirm that the lump removed completely with good margins.
